Welcome to the FitHab® website!
Spring is here and it is welcoming because it allows my clients to engage in green exercise.
You are probably asking yourself what is green exercise; is it ecologically beneficial forms of exercising?
Green exercise is any form of physical activity that takes place in urban green spaces like city parks and campuses maintained by people or in natural green spaces with minimal human upkeep. (Archer JD MA, Shirley. “Green Exercise: How it benefits Your Clients.” IDEA Fitness Journal, March 2018, page54-57.)
I am fortunate in being able to serve my clients not just at their homes or work place, but also in green exercise settings. This is part of what makes FitHab’s guiding principles. Our principals are to be mobile, simple, efficient, effective, fun, outdoors, and natural. This is what sets FitHab apart from others.
The vast mental, physical, and spiritual rewards gained by training in green exercise environments have positive effects on health, well-being and athletic performance. (Archer JD MA, Shirley. “Green Exercise: How it benefits Your Clients.” IDEA Fitness Journal, March 2018, page54-57.)
These clients are training outdoors near their home with the TRX Rip Trainer and no shoes. Nice!
I’ve noticed that the physical, mental gains, and the enjoyment that my clients receive from training outdoors have a significant impact on them. Most people are indoors most of the day and rarely have enough outdoor exposure to sunlight, fresh air, and other external stimuli.

My clients reap the benefit of outdoor training, by breathing fresh air, being out of their office or home and enjoying a peaceful and or different environment. Natural light shines on their faces, they become happy, and get some vitamin D. Training outdoors allows more freedom to explore many different avenues of fitness training that are not able to be done in a gym. Training outdoors when possible, allows greater training responses and adaptions to the environmental demands and situational demands that help facilitate some awesome health and fitness benefits. Training outdoors and using the environment and things around you to train (opportunistic training) has greater real world application (practical use) than the stale, monotonous, loud, and distracting environments of gyms. Plus you’re outdoors; like you were a kid and you have lots of fun and don’t have to worry what others think of you or if you fit in. You just be you and get a great workout.
